European tour (part 1) a la Suisse, Italie, France et Luxemborg

This is a picture of our first city in Italy. We were in Carpi, Udine, Trevise and Pordenone. The theater in Pordenone was rigged the same as it had been in the 1800s. That didn’t really worry me since our sets are built light for travel. The guys had to pull the curtain with muscle. That only happens when we do lectures and Stacy becomes our fearless curtain princess.  We went to the euro store on our break here and an old beautiful church before that. ah… things you remember.

We went to Monthey,Switzerland where I had a great Stravinsky program with Marianna, la femme grecque. Oh, and we stopped to take a quick photo on the way to the theater.

We had a day off, one of three, so we took a small St. Bernard train to a smaller train that climbed the Suisse Alps at 45 degrees. Pretty amazing.

Big dilemna!!! We wanted to feed the deer, but we couldn't break the bread...so Stacy had to save the day and she might have accidentally hit on of the nuns on the head with some. Um, we were basically in the Sound Of Music.

I had to take this picture for my mom. Hey, it's the advanced Swiss version of a chia pet! snort, snort.
